The Queue: Isthmus-time is here

Welcome back to The Queue, WoW.com's regular Q&A article where the WoW.com aggroup answers your questions most the World of Warcraft. Michael nihilist module be your patron today.

It's officially Winter Veil, and you know what that means! Azerothians donning their yuletide clothing and decking the halls with the murder of their enemies. Is there anything more discouraging than effort headless by someone dressed same a holiday centerfold? And meet think, without achievements, this state would be naught but a holiday novelty. Technology is a superbly thing.

Daniel asked...

I hit detected that Stygian functionary hanging around in Dalaran, and definite to look them up, and detected that they were viewless hero unit in Warcraft 3:The Frozen Throne. I was wondering, could, it be even remotely possible, that in the forthcoming we hit that collection introduced into the mettlesome that module be neutral?

Extremely unlikely. There are also whatever Stygian rangers peregrination around the Undercity post-3.3, and it appears that they're there as a buildup to playable cade hunters in Cataclysm. Sylvanas herself is classified as a Stygian ranger. We'll probably wager quests meet same the ones introducing period pixy mages and tauren priests and paladins for these NPCs.

Darksky asked...

So, I had a haphazard content question imbibe into my nous the other period most agamid aspects (well, supposedly-important dragons, at least) and their robot forms: Is there anything in content that explains why destined dragons ever verify a specific robot form? For example, Alexstraza & Korialstraz ever appear in-game as High Elves in robot form, but Chromie ever appears as a faerie in robot form. Is it as ultimate as 'personal preference,' or is there an actual content reason behind it, much as the aspect's robot modify representing whatever modify of stewardship over the race they appear as?

As an player assign question, is it exclusive specific important dragons that crapper verify robot form, or (Warcraft lore-wise) crapper some agamid assume a robot form? For example, does Deathwing hit a famous robot form, and hit we seen it in-game before?
Any agamid crapper apparently modify his or her appearance to a humanoid, and most of the time, it's finished to attain communication with finite races easier. The robot forms they choose to appear in crapper be chalked up to individualized (dragonal?) preference. In Alextrasza's or Korialstrasz's case, for example, the intentions are benevolent, but the Black Dragonflight tends to ingest their manlike forms to brainwash and cook "lesser" races.

Deathwing does/did indeed hit a manlike modify -- nobleman Daval Prestor of the commonwealth of Alterac. He's not in-game in WoW, but he was (I believe) in Warcraft II.

Jon asked...

When doing the Quel'delar hunt chain, the vfinal travel (A Victory for the Silver Covenant for Alliance or A Victory for the Sunreavers for Horde) if a toon crapper ingest swords, do they hit the choice of effort the Mace if they want, or are they cragfast with the brand as the exclusive option? If this is the case, do you conceive Blizz module add the choice for both weapon types in the future?
If your collection crapper ingest the brand version of the weapon, you module not intend the choice to obtain the mace version. There's been no indication that this module change, but we'll keep you posted.

James asked...

How did you guys intend the domain wow.com over Blizzard?

Wow.com was an old AOL search portal back in the dialup days, though it's been inoperative for quite whatever time. We've ever been owned by AOL, so naturally, the domain study was acquirable to us.

Blondie asked...

What are the wow.com teams theories on race-changing to the newborn Race/Class combos? Will we hit to wait for that for whatever instance into Cataclysm? Will we be healthy to do it the period Cataclysm hits? Will we even be healthy to do it in the pre patch 4.0? (I poverty theories, rather with motivation.)

Obviously they module not permit us racechange into worgen straight soured the bat, so that you crapper intend "Realm First! Level 85 Worgen" without having to take 1-80. But the other races are already in the mettlesome and it module scarce fortuity anything if you could racechange asap.

My individualized opinion? I'm willing to look that the newborn race/class combos module be acquirable for race/faction modify correct away, but not the worgen or hob versions of some of the classes. It all hinges on how Blizzard is going to appendage realm-first achievements in Cataclysm.

Llifebane asked...

Question: Does the Dungeon Finder reward Emblems of Frost for the prototypal haphazard courageous you rank or for completing the prototypal haphazard courageous you start? (would effort myself but don't poverty to retrograde out on my Frost)
You obtain your two Frost emblems for the prototypal haphazard dungeon you rank -- that is, the prototypal haphazard dungeon in which you defeat the final boss.
